Naturally Radiant Complexion Skincare Tips
01. Detox Your Body
Your skin reflects what is going on inside of you. Skin conditions like dryness and acne can develop when your skin cannot eliminate toxins efficiently. You can talk to a natural healthcare professional to find a detox program that works for you. Here are some things I do right at home:
- Try cutting out sugar and alcohol for five days.
- Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Limit salty snacks. These can cause swelling and water retention.
- Drink warm lemon water daily to help flush toxins from your body.
02. Exercise
Whether it’s getting up and stretching during commercials, walking the dog, or going for a swim; regular exercise can brighten your complexion and improve the overall health of your skin. Movement stimulates the lymphatic system, which carries away waste products from your cells. Try including exercise in your routine. You can slowly incorporate exercise into your routine by stretching.

03. Cleanse Skin Regularly
Let’s compare your skin to the windshield of your car. Like the windshield, your skin is going to pick up everything you encounter throughout your day. So, it’s important to thoroughly remove dirt and oil that can clog your pores and cause dullness. Be sure to take the time to wash your face twice daily with a cleanser of your choice.

04. Scrub Away Dead Skin
A well-known way to brighten skin immediately is by exfoliating regularly. Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. You can get this process done professionally or at home using an exfoliating face wash or scrub. Check out some of my favorites below.

05. Moisturize + Protect Skin
Using the right moisturizer can help your skin maintain its balance. When your skin is too dry or oily, it can cause acne. For my oily skin girlies, try looking for lotions instead of creams or finding a moisturizer with an exfoliant ingredient like salicylic or glycolic acid. If your skin is mostly dry, try looking for a cream moisturizer. Creams tend to have a higher oil content which is the perfect match for dry skin.

06. Face Masks
A very common way to get instant glow-boosting benefits is by using a face mask. Using a brightening or hydrating face mask can help correct your skin tone and improve unevenness in skin texture. If you have sensitive skin, be sure the mask you choose does not have harmful ingredients like parabens or sulfates. I reccomend completing a patch test before applying the mask all over your face.

07. Facial Massage
Lastly, massaging your face increases blood circulation, helps relax your facial muscles, and gives your skin a natural vibrance. All of those practices promote healthy skin. Whether you want to use facial massages purely for relaxation or to treat a specific condition, there are plenty of techniques to try. If you want to target specific skin concerns such as acne or scar reduction, I recommend you see a professional. See a few facial massage methods below:
